Woman Sprays Back Charging Mama Moose In Montana
Another epic nature video is making the rounds online right now. We have been absolutely wild with wildlife content lately here at OutKick. Do yourself a favor and check out our new launch called OutDoors just for starters. Just yesterday we saw a Canadian hiker have a run in with multiple grizzly bears and leave unscathed. Now, we have some moose action to discuss instead.

NBC Montana shared some awesome footage Tuesday on Instagram of a moose charging into a woman's backyard in Big Sky, Montana. The caption says CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH MAMA MOOSE and thanks Shelly Thorburn for sending in the video. Fortunately, the woman was able to react quickly enough despite a minor tumble. She hit the massive moose with some kind of spray to keep the wild animal away from her dogs.

For those who might not know I used to live in Montana myself. It is arguably a top-two most beautiful state in America along with Maine as far as I can tell. Despite having lived in Montana, I can safely say I never witnessed a moose running into a backyard occupied by family pets before this event. It is just the latest example that you always need to keep your head on a swivel whenever you are potentially in range of wild animals.

The risk to these local communities feels real when huge creatures decide their property lines do not exist anymore. Government regulations and warnings about wildlife encounters often get lost in the noise of daily life for ordinary people. Most folks only see what they want to see without realizing how little information actually reaches them before an incident happens. Limited access to accurate data means many citizens walk right into danger zones unaware of the threats lurking nearby.
