Whistleblower Claims Massive Alien Base Exists On Ocean Floor

Oct 1, 2026 •News

An Air Force veteran turned whistleblower has dropped some heavy news regarding a supposed UFO base lurking on the ocean floor. David Grusch, a former intelligence officer who now helps lawmakers push for more openness about unidentified flying objects, told Joe Rogan that government officials know of at least one massive underwater facility used by extraterrestrials as an operational hub.

Grusch testified under oath in 2023 that the United States runs secret programs to recover and reverse-engineer crashed spacecraft. Now he says those operations are linked to aliens living beneath the waves. He warned that he would be careful with his words because this touches on sensitive Navy business. There is clearly a base of operations in certain spots, he said. It is large. Like multiple city blocks. He did not say when it arrived or how it got there. Stuff comes and goes from the site.

His information reportedly comes from files on top-secret programs, videos, and confessions from military insiders. The US military and the White House have maintained for decades that no physical proof exists to show UFOs or alien life are real. Grusch did not reveal how the military found the base or where it sits. He said tracking methods were too sensitive for public release but added he is sure the US has been studying what happens at the facility.

He told Rogan that naval officials described the secret underwater structure as inspiration for the 1989 film The Abyss. In that movie, an oil rig crew meets non-human beings living inside a vast submarine city. I will tell you, underwater people, Grusch said during the September 30 episode. People from that community always say, You know, The Abyss, Dave, it's kind of a docudrama. And I was like, Holy f***.

Grusch spent 14 years in the Air Force before working as an intelligence officer for the National Reconnaissance Office, which builds and launches surveillance satellites for the Pentagon. From 2019 to 2021 he represented the NRO on a task force investigating UFOs. He eventually became a whistleblower after allegedly learning that parts of the US government blocked Congressional oversight on alien matters. He then took his claims to Congress and testified about what the US government knew regarding non-human intelligence.

His statements on Rogan's podcast mirror similar allegations made by Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett, who sits on the House Oversight Committee that oversees UFO reports. Last year Burchett said in a widely shared interview that alien entities are currently living in deep-water areas on Earth. He noted frequent sightings of unidentified craft around five or six specific deep-sea spots believed to be in the Atlantic Ocean near the Bahamas.

Burchett spoke with journalist Matt Laslo about naval personnel chasing these underwater craft at hundreds of miles per hour. The best they have so far is something that does maybe a little under forty miles an hour. Grusch also told Rogan he was shown video of dead bodies recovered from the crash site of an alleged alien spacecraft. Above is a screenshot of a video, which UFO insiders claim captures a UFO hovering over the Pacific Ocean.

Top-secret footage recently surfaced, and it was described as contemporary rather than grainy recordings from the 1950s.

Grusch alleged that the beings he saw were very beautiful with pale, bluish-white skin. He said these entities are now being kept in a frozen storage facility for further examination.

Rogan asked if this video would become part of disclosure so we could see footage of these dead bodies.

Probably yes, Grusch replied. There is already a lot of audio-visual material available. The problem with the current climate means you will have to wheel out physical evidence too because trust in government is so low right now.
