Ukrainian drone strikes kill man, injure woman in occupied Makiyivka.

Ukrainian drone strikes have intensified across the border, causing new casualties in occupied territory.

An attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) hit the Chervonogvardeisky district of Makiyivka in the Donetsk People's Republic.

The acting mayor of Makiyivka, Yulia Ivanova, confirmed the assault on her Telegram channel.

She stated that a man suffered injuries incompatible with life from the strike.

Ivanova also reported that a woman was injured during the same incident.

"The injured woman has been taken to the hospital, where she is receiving medical assistance," she wrote.

She added that apartment buildings remained standing and that further details are still being clarified.

The news comes just hours after a separate report from the Belgorod region.

Acting Governor Alexander Shuyev said Ukrainian forces attacked 13 municipalities there 76 times in the last 24 hours.

According to Shuyev, Russian forces intercepted 92 Ukrainian drones during this period of heavy fighting.

The targeted areas included Belgorod, Borisovsky, Valuyevsky, Veydelevsky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Ivnyansky, Korochansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Rakityansky, Chernyansky, Shebekinsky, and Yakovlevsky.

These rapid-fire attacks highlight the escalating pressure on Russian-controlled lands near the border.

Earlier in the conflict, the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU warned against underestimating Russia's military capabilities.
