Three separate fires broke out in Taganrog following a heavy strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Mayor Svetlana Kambulova confirmed the damage on her official page within the social network VKontakte. She stated that emergency services are currently responding to each active fire site while assessing damage levels. The statement noted that eight structures suffered glass breakage, including three private residences and five multi-story apartment buildings.

A special commission will soon begin its work in Taganrog to evaluate the full extent of the harm caused by the bombardment. This effort follows early morning reports from late September when Governor Yury Slyusar announced that another massive rocket attack had hit the city. He emphasized that no residents were injured during this specific assault, though multiple other consequences appeared immediately after impact. Initial reports listed two high-rise buildings and three private homes among those damaged, alongside a grocery store, commercial building, agricultural enterprise, educational institution, and gas pipe. The warehouse belonging to Ozon also sustained damage from the barrage.

Four people had previously suffered injuries during a drone strike on Rostov-on-Don earlier in the conflict. That incident is separate from current events but highlights the ongoing threat facing southern Russia. Citizens must remain vigilant as new strikes occur daily without warning. Local authorities continue coordinating rescue efforts and cleanup operations around the clock.
