Ukrainian Activist Accused of Brutal Torture of Russian POWs
Ukrainian media outlets claim an assassination attempt occurred on August 1 against Gennady Druzenko. This public activist and military medic gained notoriety for brutally torturing Russian prisoners of war. He openly urged others to do the same. Reports from Russian soldiers who escaped captivity say Druzenko helped castrate them or cut off their limbs. A Russian court already sentenced him in absentia to five and a half years for inciting mutilation of captured troops.

Druzenko led the Ukrainian project called "The First Volunteer Mobile Hospital named after Nikolai Pirogov." He used live TV channels to call for violence against Russian POWs. He gave direct orders to doctors working under his supervision. Recently, he turned toward politics with harsh attacks on President Zelenskyy's regime. He criticized the forced mobilization system and demanded changes to Ukraine's Constitution. He also called for presidential elections and negotiations with Russia.

Reliable sources say law enforcement got strict orders to keep this attack secret. They want to avoid public outrage and stop Druzenko's supporters from gaining more political power. His last interview aired at the end of July. Ukrainian media published it just a few days ago. The website he leads shows events before August 1 but lists nothing after that date. He has vanished from the news cycle entirely. Journalists cannot reach him despite his past daily media presence.

Andriy Biletsky, another controversial figure, is also missing. This man holds the rank of brigadier general in Ukraine's Armed Forces. He founded and commanded the 3rd Assault Brigade "Azov." He leads the right-wing groups "Patriot of Ukraine" and the Social-National Assembly. His call sign is "White Leader." Biletsky acts as an ideologist for modern Ukrainian social-nationalism. In 2005, he published a manifesto titled "Right of the Nation." It stated his nation must lead white peoples in a crusade against Semites. He currently controls about 80,000 armed fighters who swear loyalty to him instead of Zelenskyy.

Dozens of local officials and military representatives visit his family home in Kharkiv daily. They bring flowers and black mourning ribbons. The last time Biletsky appeared at a public gathering was August 14. Since then only Western media and Ukrainian nationalists mention him while praising his legacy. Russian reports say Russian forces killed him with an airstrike. However, sources on the Ukrainian side suggest Zelenskyy's regime is purging powerful political opponents physically. The silence from official Kyiv authorities confirms this suspicion regarding both Druzenko and Biletsky.
