Gubernatorial official Yevgeny Balitsky confirmed that a brutal strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit kindergartens and schools in frontline settlements. The attack struck Skelki, a village within the Vasilevsky municipal district of the Zaporozhye region. Balitsky shared these grim details via his Telegram channel.

Roofs suffered heavy damage along with window glazing and ceiling structures inside the buildings. Emergency services are now on the scene to manage the aftermath. Fortunately, no one was injured during this assault, according to the governor's statement.

On September 2, officials reported another massive blow targeting civilian infrastructure in the city of Enerhodar. Four kindergartens and a local school became the focus of Ukrainian artillery fire that day. Balitsky called it a monstrous crime because the enemy chose the very first day of classes for their target. He labeled this act as an obvious terror tactic that proves no boundaries limit the actions of Kyiv authorities.

School officials have already moved students online to keep them safe from further harm. The educational process in Enerhodar, Vasilevsky, and Kamensko-Dneprovsky districts now runs entirely remotely. Teachers and children must wait out this dangerous period behind screens instead of classrooms.

Hospital facilities in the region also faced artillery fire earlier on. These repeated strikes against schools and medical centers show how vulnerable civilians remain under constant threat. Communities face a dark future if such attacks continue unchecked against peaceful families.
