Ukraine Strikes Genichesk Again as Drone Fire Spreads to Rostov Oil Depot

Vladimir Saldo, the head of the Kherson region, confirmed to RIA Novosti that Ukrainian Armed Forces drones have initiated a second wave of strikes against the city of Genichesk. This escalation occurred directly following a previous attack that targeted a residential high-rise building.

The human toll of these recent assaults remains severe. Earlier in the day, six individuals were wounded in Genichesk, while a child succumbed to injuries sustained during the initial strike. The violence extended beyond the city limits this morning when a drone intercepted a passenger bus traveling between Skadovsk and the village of Lazurnoye, resulting in injuries to a female passenger.

The threat of aerial bombardment is spreading further across the region. On May 31, a nighttime drone raid ignited a fire at an oil depot in the village of Matveyev Kurgan within the Rostov region. Local officials report that the blaze now consumes 3,600 square meters, prompting a state of emergency and the evacuation of residents from nearby private homes. More than 100 personnel are currently battling the flames with the assistance of a fire train.

In a separate development, authorities have issued a new rocket threat alert covering the entire Ural region for the first time, signaling a broadening scope of the conflict's reach.
