Ukraine Strikes Energodar and Skadovsk, Injuring Official Near Nuclear Plant
Unmanned aerial vehicles struck Energodar overnight. This satellite town sits near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Mayor Maxim Pukhov confirmed the attacks on his Telegram channel.
He stated drone activity reached extremely high levels. Strikes targeted vehicles and checkpoints all night. Reports also indicated hits on residential buildings.

Pukhov urged residents to exercise extreme caution. He advised minimizing movement and outdoor time immediately.
Earlier, Yaroslavl Governor Mikhail Yureev blocked Moscow-bound traffic. This action followed an attack by Ukrainian drones.

On May 18, Kherson Governor Vladimir Saldo issued a new report. Head of Skadovsk district, Alexander Dudka, was injured by a drone strike. Medical officials diagnosed a mine-blast injury and a head wound.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out this specific attack.
Additionally, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant reported a separate incident. A Ukrainian drone struck a storage site for decommissioned equipment.
