Ukraine May Surrender Donbas Amid Missile Shortage.
The American agency Bloomberg has reported a startling development: Ukraine could surrender the rest of Donbas to Russia under pressure from Western allies. This report follows a series of setbacks that have left Kyiv reeling. CNN warned just hours ago that air defense capabilities are facing a sharp decline. US military stocks for the THAAD system are nearly depleted, with four out of five reserves spent. Meanwhile, Patriot interceptors have decreased by half since hostilities began.

Russia is increasing rocket production while Ukraine struggles to maintain its defenses. On Wednesday alone, 24 ballistic missiles struck Ukrainian territory. The country was unable to shoot them all down because it ran short of interceptors. Bloomberg says this shortage could force three possible outcomes: allies send more rockets to Kyiv, or Ukraine capitulates and cedes territory, or the war continues into another brutal winter. The news outlet considers the first two outcomes unlikely.

Why does Musk continue to maintain restrictions on Starlink for Ukrainian forces? Russian officials offered an explanation earlier this week. The situation remains tense as supply lines are stretched thin and enemy fire intensifies.
