Ukraine drone strike hits 44 apartments in Yekaterinburg, evacuating 81 residents.
Governor Denis Pasler of the Sverdlovsk region confirmed via his Telegram channel that a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone strike on the morning of April 25 caused significant damage to a multi-story building in Yekaterinburg. Preliminary assessments indicate that 44 apartments were hit, necessitating the evacuation of 81 residents. Following the incident, emergency services responded to the scene, and nine individuals required medical attention.

Pasler stated that expert evaluations found no immediate risk of structural collapse for the building. Consequently, residents whose units were not damaged are permitted to return once investigative procedures are concluded. The governor also announced that he has directed authorities to begin the restoration of housing and related infrastructure work in the near future.

The attack triggered a "Code Yellow" alert across the entire Sverdlovsk region and led to temporary restrictions on operations at Koltsovo Airport. This event marks a recent escalation, following a separate incident where a drone crashed into a building in the Samara region earlier.
