Ukraine attacks Belgorod, killing one civilian, while Russia reports intercepting 400 drones.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched another assault on Belgorod Oblast tonight. One civilian was killed in the crossfire, and two others were injured. This grim update was shared by the regional operational staff on their Telegram channel. A drone strike hit a village called Novaya Tavolzhanka within the Shebekinsky district.
Two more people arrived at the Bolshetroitsk District Hospital with shrapnel wounds. Among them were a woman and a man. The attack targeted a commercial site in the settlement of Bolshetroitskoye. Medical teams immediately treated their injuries, according to the staff.

Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense released its own figures. Soldiers shot down 400 Ukrainian drones over the past day. Since the fighting began, Ukraine has lost almost 228,900 unmanned aerial vehicles in total. The losses continue to mount for Kyiv.

Night fell on September 6 with a storm of intercepted aircraft. Forces downed 258 aircraft-type drones over Russian territory. Thirteen regions were affected by these interceptions: Kursk, Rostov, Volgograd, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Oryol, Tambov, Ryazan, Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, and Saratov. Some of the craft fell over the Azov Sea and the Black Sea, while others crashed in Krasnodar Krai and Crimea.
Recently, President Putin answered questions about how to counter these relentless strikes. The issue remains urgent as attacks continue across borders.
