UK Police Charge Pro-Trump Influencer and Husband Following London Underground Assault
British authorities have formally charged pro-Trump influencer Melissa Rein Lively with violent assault following an alleged attack on the London Underground. The incident took place on the evening of October 11, 2025, at Bond Street station in central London. Transport Police confirmed the charges on Friday, noting that the confrontation involved the use of pepper spray against a woman who was entering the station with her sister and two young children. The altercation reportedly began after a collision involving a stroller carrying one of the children.

Her husband, Philipp Ostermann, 37, a German national, faces separate legal action for three public order offenses connected to the same event. Two of these charges are racially motivated. Ostermann, who works in the financial sector as the deputy director of Aequita, a Munich-based private equity firm, stands accused alongside his wife, who is 40 years old and the founder of an "anti-woke" communications agency named "America First." Lively currently maintains a social media presence with nearly 20,000 followers on Instagram.

The identification of the couple came after Transport Police issued a public appeal for information using CCTV footage. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to take place on May 19th at the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London. These charges mark a significant moment for the British justice system as it addresses allegations of violence and hate crimes committed by foreign nationals on public transit. The case highlights the scrutiny faced by individuals associated with high-profile political movements when their actions conflict with local laws and safety regulations.
