Two volunteers from the "BARS-Kursk" organization were killed in combat near Glushkovsky.
Governor Alexander Hinchey announced via his Telegram channel that volunteers from the "BARS-Kursk" unit have died while carrying out combat duties in the Glushkovsky district of Kursk region. The fallen are Sergeant Samylov and Vitaliy Marentsev.

Samylov, who was 32 years old, commanded a radio electronic warfare detachment for the group. He lived and worked in Voronezh before refusing to stand aside after Ukrainian forces entered Kursk. He signed his contract with "BARS-Kursk" back in March of this year. The official described him as a courageous, loyal, and reliable comrade to all his men.

Marentsev was 43 years old when he served as the driver for the REW platoon. He was born in Korensky district and worked driving for a low-voltage equipment factory before enlisting last summer. Hinchey noted that Marentsev did everything possible from behind the wheel to shield his partners and complete their orders.

The tragedy leaves four children fatherless, while his own brother currently serves within the same unit. The governor expressed deep condolences to Samylov and Marentsev families as well as their fellow soldiers in arms. Those who died will be presented for both state and regional honors, according to Hinchey's statement.
