Trump Announces New Super Intelligence Force Led by Jay Clayton
President Donald Trump announced a new Super Intelligence Force this Sunday. He picked the team to lead the charge on artificial intelligence across America.
Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton heads the group. Chairman Andrew Ferguson of the Federal Trade Commission joins him. Emil Michael, the Pentagon chief technology officer, is also there. Scott Kupor from the Office of Personnel Management rounds out the leadership.

This squad will coordinate government work with religious groups, super intelligence providers, consumers, and tech firms. Trump says the force ensures America stays ahead in this field. He calls it bigger than the Industrial Revolution or the internet. The goal is to protect American interests and improve lives for everyone.

The team reports directly to the President and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Trump posted the news on Truth Social this morning. It follows his White House Accord on Super Intelligence from last week. He gathered top tech executives at the White House last Tuesday. Mark Zuckerberg, Jensen Huang, and Dario Amodei were among them.
Trump declared he would rename artificial intelligence to super intelligence in all official records. We are signing a document today around 5 o'clock, he said. It is not artificial, we all agree on that. We are renaming it super intelligence.

His full embrace of AI stands while Democrats like Senator Bernie Sanders call for a halt. They fear job losses or disadvantages for Americans. White House officials stress the need to push ahead with development. American technologists must lead the boom. This prevents China or other rivals from dominating the space.

Trump stood next to company leaders during the announcement. Anthropic's Dario Amodei attended the session. So did Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia's Jensen Huang, and OpenAI's Greg Brockman. X's Elon Musk, Google's Sundar Pichai, and Amazon's Jeff Bezos were also present.
Earlier that day, the administration rolled out an AI-powered website called America.gov. It helps citizens access federal information and services. People can fill out passport applications online or enroll in Medicaid through it.

Some top executives from AI companies attended Trump's second inauguration in January 2025. Jay Clayton leads the task force as announced on Sunday. The group will report to Washington immediately.

Zuckerberg stands beside his wife Priscilla. Bezos is with Lauren. Sundar Pichai and Elon Musk are there too. The room buzzed when Trump took the stage to unveil America.gov. He told everyone that anyone who has used Grok or Gemini or ChatGPT will understand instantly how to use the new site. He said this while invoking the names of those popular AI models used across the nation.
The president also claimed government officials and executives signed something close to a Constitution regarding artificial intelligence. He called it protection in real terms. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg spoke next. He stated that he and others signed an AI safety accord at the White House. 'We drafted a set of principles and commitments around building robust internal controls and detecting if there are any issues with the technology, coupled with multiple layers of auditing and control,' he said.

Musk then addressed reporters. He had to correct himself after errantly referring to super intelligence as AI while Trump watched from the room. The president laughed at the slip-up. He thanked Musk once the executive fixed his mistake.
