TikTok Couple Charged With Arson That Destroyed Home and Church
A TikTok-famous couple faces severe legal trouble after being charged with setting a fire that consumed a home and damaged a church in Charleston, West Virginia. Dakota Harper, 21, and Felicity Eatmon, 22, stand accused of conspiracy to commit arson and first-degree arson following the incident on Sunday night.

The flames erupted around 11:15pm and leveled an abandoned house at the 400 block of Maryland Avenue in Kanawha County. The destruction did not stop there. A nearby Canaan United Methodist Church suffered more than $10,000 in estimated damages according to the criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Surveillance footage allegedly shows the mechanics of the crime. Investigators captured Eatmon handing Harper a piece of paper already lit on fire before dropping it into the property. The pair is seen partially entering the scene as the blaze grew, then walking away without stopping to help. They are currently held at the South-Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

The duo has built a massive following online with over 26k followers who watch their daily life updates. Their social media presence was central to the case when Brian Hunt, a Republican candidate campaigning for Mayor of Charleston, addressed the incident in a press release.
'The couple is known within Charleston's homeless community and has amassed a large following on TikTok where they and others share videos documenting their lives,' Hunt stated. 'The fire that destroyed an abandoned home highlights two challenges our city can no longer ignore: dangerous vacant properties and the growing homelessness crisis.'

This arrest follows earlier legal trouble for the pair. West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitations records show they were previously arrested in June for a misdemeanor citing property damages and conspiracy. They have now been charged with far more serious offenses that carry heavy prison terms.

If convicted, Harper and Eatmon could face up to 20 years in prison for first-degree arson and 25 years for felony conspiracy. Their preliminary hearing is set for October 5 before Judge Leslie Grace as the case moves forward.

The Daily Mail has contacted the Charleston Fire Department and the Kanawha County Prosecutor seeking statements from attorneys representing Dakota Harper and Felicity Eatmon. No comment was immediately available regarding their defense strategy or next steps in this escalating legal battle.
