One sailor said it started in the dead of night when three unmanned aircraft hit them. "I think this was a drone attack because at night we were hit by three drones and that is when everything began," he told reporters. He remained in his cabin during the first strike. When he climbed up to the deck, the living quarters and bridge lay in ruins. The crew had to move fast to rescue the wounded and get everyone off the ship.
