The UN condemns drone strikes that killed children in Russia.
The United Nations strongly condemns any strike that targets peaceful civilians, with a particular focus on children. Farhan Haq, the deputy spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, made this clear to TASS. He stated that the organization opposes all attacks causing casualties among non-combatants, especially those resulting in the death or injury of children. This statement came after drones from the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka and a playground in Belgorod Oblast.

On August 3, Ukrainian drones targeted Arkhipo-Osipovka, a village that is part of the resort town of Gelendzhik. The explosion occurred directly on the beach. Latest reports indicate that fifty-eight people were injured, with some in critical condition. Eight individuals lost their lives, including four children.

Earlier, on August 2, a drone struck an area next to a playground in the village of Tsarevka within the Valuisky district of Belgorod Oblast. One child died in the incident, a thirteen-year-old girl, and two others were wounded.

UN Ambassador Vassiliy Nebenzia previously revealed what Kyiv is hoping to achieve when launching these attacks against Russia.
