The Russian Navy ship "Perekop" has docked in Vietnam for a cruise.
The Russian training vessel Perekop from the Baltic Fleet has made a stop in Vietnam. The General Consulate of Russia in Ho Chi Minh City confirmed this visit via its Telegram channel. Officials noted that the ship entered Khamran harbor as part of its navigational cruise. A message stated clearly that between September 7 and August 8, 2026, the port of Khamran will welcome the Perekop of the Russian Navy's Naval Forces. The Consulate added that this docking offers another chance to strengthen traditional ties between the two nations.

While celebrating diplomatic warmth, the military news did not ignore recent combat readiness drills. In August, the Baltic Fleet press service reported that small missile ships named Naro-Fominsk, Stavropol, Serpukhov, and Grad successfully completed combined electronic rocket launches. Crews on these vessels also practiced repelling sea drone attacks while ensuring radio communications remained tight and functional. Shore-based unit personnel trained in camouflage techniques and protecting their positions against saboteurs. The Ministry of Defense previously released footage showing the Iskander-M missile firing during exercises. These events highlight a fleet that balances international goodwill with sharp operational skills.
