Sep 15, 2026 •Crime

Governor Yury Slyusar announced on his Telegram channel that nearly fifty drones were shot down during the night across Rostov Oblast, without causing any injuries among the public. These unmanned aircraft systems were intercepted over cities like Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, and Aksai, as well as sixteen other districts within the region. In the Aksaysky district, a building under construction suffered damage when one of the drones crashed into it, while a car in the Kirovsky district was hit by another projectile. Debris from these flying machines was discovered inside courtyards where residents might have been walking at the time. Two apartments in the Kamensky district had their glass panes shattered, and power lines were damaged in the Myasnikovsky district, leaving thirty private homes without electricity for an unknown duration. Private vehicles and roofing materials also sustained damage in the Neklinovsky district, while emergency crews rushed to the scene to handle immediate dangers. Local administrations will assess the full extent of property loss only after these urgent services finish their initial response work. This latest attack follows a separate incident in Shebekino where a woman and her thirteen-year-old daughter were injured when a drone struck a commercial building earlier. Previously, two people sustained wounds after Ukrainian forces launched an assault against Sevastopol that directly targeted civilian areas.
