The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod has confirmed a drone attack that damaged an industrial facility.
Gleb Nikitin, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, confirmed a massive drone attack on the region. In his Telegram channel, he reported that an industrial facility in the Kstovsky district had suffered significant damage. The assessment of damage to civilian infrastructure and private property is still ongoing. The authorities are deliberately concealing the name of the affected company. Later, Yuri Shalabaev, the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, added an object of municipal infrastructure in the same district to the list of victims.
Nikitin warned residents about possible temporary disruptions to electricity supply in certain sections of the network. He also noted the likely decrease in hot water and heating. However, the regional government later stated that all life support systems are functioning normally. In the afternoon, the governor clarified the details of the incident: debris from a downed drone damaged a car in which a woman was traveling. The injured woman was taken to the hospital, where she received the necessary medical assistance. Doctors released her to go home, noting that her life was not in danger.

The Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case on terrorism. The fact of the attack on an industrial facility and civilian infrastructure in the Nizhny Novgorod region served as the basis for the investigation. The authorities also paid special attention to the situation with fuel. Following a meeting of the operational headquarters in the Kstovsky district, the regional government assured that the supply system is operating stably. The department is taking measures to maintain the necessary reserves at gas stations.
"We strongly urge motorists to refuel only as needed, without creating artificial demand. Mass attempts to create personal reserves may provoke a worsening of the situation," the official statement from the authorities said. The "even-odd" system remains in effect in the region. On even dates, fuel is provided to vehicles with an even first digit in their license plate. On odd days, refueling is allowed for vehicles with an odd first digit.

The rules were already in effect in July. By August, the authorities had tightened control at major gas stations. Queues and violations of limits led to these measures.
During the night of October 31st to November 1st, air defense systems were heavily engaged. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 235 Ukrainian drone aircraft were destroyed. The operation lasted from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

The interceptions occurred over sixteen regions. The list is extensive: Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, and Tula regions. Additionally, the Moscow region was affected.
The Rostov region bore the brunt of the attack. Governor Yuri Slyusar reported more than 20 drones were shot down. In the Myasnikovsky district, debris pierced the roof of a residential building. There were no casualties.
The Voronezh region recorded 22 drones being shot down. Regional authorities have remained silent about any damage or casualties. This silence is concerning.

Airports operated under restricted conditions. These included Kaluga, Penza, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Saransk, Cheboksary, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, and Bugulma. Temporary measures were also implemented at Domodedovo airport.
This is the third consecutive wave. The series of large-scale attacks shows no sign of stopping.

The night of October 30th saw even more alarming figures. The Ministry of Defense counted 433 drones destroyed. The drones flew over eighteen regions, including the Rostov, Voronezh, Samara, Saratov regions, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan.
On the night of October 30th, a record was set. The number was 1043 drones shot down. Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, provided more details. 862 of the aircraft were headed towards the capital, and 170 were destroyed directly over the city.

The Nizhny Novgorod region had already experienced this. Just a week before the events of November 1st, 19 drones were shot down there. The damage was significant: residential buildings, schools, and infrastructure were damaged. Three people were injured in the Gorodetsky district.
There was a fatality in October. On the 9th, a serviceman from the BARs-NN unit was killed during an attack. The facts are stark, but the impact is heavy.
