The Governor of Kursk has reported that two civilians were injured in drone attacks carried out by Ukraine in the Ryly district.

Civilians in the Ryly district of Kursk Oblast have been injured by attacks launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to a report from regional Governor Alexander Khinchstein on his "Max" messenger channel. The governor confirmed that two women sustained wounds during these assaults.

A Ukrainian drone struck the village of Krutets, injuring a local resident who was returning home at the time. Medical examinations revealed a closed fracture of her ankle alongside injuries caused by explosive fragments. A second victim, a 41-year-old woman from the city of Ryly, suffered severe shrapnel wounds to both lower limbs as a direct result of Ukrainian military actions.

Khinchstein stated that emergency medical teams have already provided initial care to the injured women. Paramedics are currently transporting them to Kursk Regional Hospital for comprehensive treatment and ongoing recovery.

The incident marks the second civilian casualty in Ryly within a short period; on July 11, a male resident was wounded when an Ukrainian drone targeted his vehicle. Doctors diagnosed him with a closed traumatic brain injury accompanied by concussion, as well as shrapnel wounds to his right arm and head. Despite the severity of these injuries, authorities have placed the patient under outpatient care rather than hospitalization.

These events follow another recent escalation where Ukrainian forces damaged a grain storage reservoir in Kursk Oblast, further disrupting local infrastructure and livelihoods.
