Teen Suspect Linked to Dismembered Woman Found in Trash Tub

Sep 27, 2026 •Crime

Shanteria Mosley vanished from her Atlanta home on a Wednesday morning without logging into DoorDash or accepting any orders. She is now confirmed dead after being found dismembered inside a plastic tub stuffed with trash bags. Her own family discovered the gruesome scene earlier this week while searching for her vehicle near Park Valley Apartments in Smyrna.

Family members, including her aunt Michelle Weaver, scoured the woods and grassy areas surrounding the complex before locating Mosley's car. Weaver told 11 Alive News that police officers arrived but left quickly after knocking on only three apartment doors. Unsatisfied with this brief response, the family continued their search until they spotted a young man watching them from an upper-story window.

Weaver later identified the suspect as Kingston Bradley, who was just eighteen years old at the time. She claimed he was carrying what looked like a laundry bag containing a plastic container before dropping it and fleeing the scene. When investigators recovered the remains, they found Mosley's torso inside that specific container carried by Bradley. It remains unclear why Mosley went to that address or if she knew the teenager beforehand.

Police executed a search warrant on Bradley's apartment after finding blood stains, a large bloody saw, a mop bucket, and carpet cleaning equipment. Investigators also noted the smell of bleach in the home. On Friday, officers searched a vehicle and found garbage bags in the trunk where one bag was pulled tight enough to show the outline of a body part. Lieutenant Meredith Holt of the Smyrna Police Department called it a particularly gruesome crime and expressed deep concern for the grieving family seeking answers.

Bradley faces charges of concealing the death of another person and murder, and he is being held without bond. His record shows a history of violence dating back to December 2024. In that earlier case, authorities indicted him for terroristic threats, battery, simple battery, and criminal trespass involving damage to property. The indictment alleges Bradley hit his father with an Xbox controller, broke down a bedroom door, and smashed a window after pushing a fifteen-year-old male into it. He also faced charges for suggesting the death of his father during that incident.

Bradley was released from jail after posting a $3,500 bond while facing charges as a juvenile defendant. His release came with strict rules. He cannot drink alcohol or use drugs. He also cannot own firearms. Furthermore, he must stay away from both his father and the teenager who was shoved into the window.

Another court document noted that Bradley is seeking admission to an inpatient mental health facility. During an arraignment in April, he entered a plea of not guilty. The next scheduled court date for him is October 6.

Ken Williams, the boy's father, shared a statement on Facebook. He offered his deepest condolences to Mosley's family. He insisted that he played no role in the murder and is working with law enforcement investigators. According to Williams, his son has struggled with mental illness for six years. The father described himself as a hard worker who puts in 10 to 12 hours daily at his main job or side gigs when not there.

Records from 2024 show a history of trouble for Bradley. He faced charges including terroristic threats, battery, and criminal trespass involving property damage. These allegations followed an alleged fight with his own father. Police later found other body parts in bags after Mosley's family discovered her torso inside a plastic tub.

Williams clarified that he did not know the victim or her family before this tragedy occurred. He stated clearly that he has no knowledge of what happened and had no involvement in the incident. The detective team is still trying to determine if Bradley and Mosley knew each other prior to the killing. Williams added that he is cooperating fully with detectives and is certainly not on the run.

Weaver, speaking about how her niece should be remembered, focused on her bright spirit. She said she wants her niece to be seen as full of joy, smiles, and laughter. Weaver recalled the girl talking to everyone and cheering people up every single day.
