Store Owner Returns Fire After Robbers Smash Through Front
Washington jewelry store owner opened fire on a group of masked would-be thieves after they rammed a pickup truck through his storefront in broad daylight and rushed inside, sending the suspects scrambling from the store empty-handed, authorities said.
The incident happened during normal business hours at a local shop in Lynwood. A crew arrived in a vehicle, smashed right through the glass front, and charged into the interior to make their grab for valuables. The owner did not hesitate. He returned gunfire until the intruders retreated out of the building without any stolen goods.

Police have identified the location as being within the jurisdiction of the Lynwood Police Department. Investigators are looking into how such a vehicle could breach the security of the retail space so easily. The speed of the attack left little time for anyone to react other than the owner, who acted quickly to stop the robbery.
