Spain Coaster Passenger Lost Both Legs After Ride Launch
A 49-year-old man lost both legs to fractures after riding Spain's first multi-launch coaster, the Batman Gotham City Escape at Parque Warner Madrid. Local reports say panic swept through the theme park on Saturday as emergency crews worked quickly to treat him. The ride had opened in 2023 and features three powerful launches plus four inversions that leave riders hanging upside down for brief moments.

Officials from the park stated they stopped the attraction immediately once trouble appeared. Emergency medical services attended to the injured visitor right away. First responders then airlifted him to a nearby hospital, Europa Press reported citing emergency officials. The man suffered an open fracture in his left leg and a closed fracture in his right one. Juan José Molina, another guest at the park, described scenes of fear among visitors.

"There were people crying and having anxiety attacks," he said. Parque Warner confirmed that management will keep the roller coaster shut down while authorities review the incident. The closure gives officials time to investigate what went wrong inside a Spanish amusement park known for high-speed thrills. Guests who entered through the main entrance on Saturday likely faced sudden stops and unsettling news about safety concerns.
