Sarah Ferguson reportedly contacts FBI on Epstein case

Aug 26, 2026 •Entertainment

Sarah Ferguson reportedly tried to hand over a phone number to FBI director Kash Patel, aiming to assist the agency with information on Lady Victoria Hervey. This controversial British socialite has remained a staunch defender of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor throughout his legal troubles regarding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The alleged intervention happened last March when the former Duchess of York reached out directly to the bureau in an apparent effort to provide details about Hervey.

The FBI currently leads the massive investigation into the Epstein case, seizing documents from his properties that are now part of the public record known as the Epstein Files. In contrast, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor famously refused to comply with requests for an interview despite earlier promises to cooperate fully with authorities. Lady Victoria Hervey, forty-nine years old, dated Andrew briefly in 1999 before becoming a vocal critic of his accusers. She previously caused outrage by claiming the infamous photo of him with Virginia Giuffre was faked and accusing victims of jumping on the bandwagon for money.

Hervey even criticized Giuffre after her death last April at age forty-one, posting that there is no way out when lies catch up to you. Her flippant comments suggesting people were losers if not named in the files sparked widespread disgust across social media platforms. Earlier this year she told LBC radio that being excluded from those documents felt like an insult and implied victims must have been a bit of a loser to be left out. She is known as a fan of the Trump administration, having posted pictures with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in January 2025 and even sharing images with Mr Patel online.

An email sent by FBI attaché David Walker on March 6, 2025, reveals that Ferguson stopped using her title following the scandal revelations but still sought to intervene. The message informed Director Patel that the Duchess reached out wanting to provide contact information for Victoria Hervey because she believed Patel had requested these details. This exchange was published by the FBI in a collection of documents regarding their review of investigative holdings related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Hervey is the daughter of the late sixth Marquess of Bristol and sister of John Hervey, who squandered much of the family fortune on drugs before dying at age forty-four. She regularly comments on the scandal, claiming Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell set Andrew up with a fake photo even though Maxwell admitted it was genuine. In February she told LBC that Jeffrey and Virginia worked together to frame him. US authorities have stated clearly that the former prince provided zero cooperation during their investigation into his conduct.

Prosecutors repeatedly contacted lawyers for the Duke of York after attorney Geoffrey Berman announced from Epstein's New York mansion in 2020 that Andrew had failed to follow through on public commitments. The documents reveal Ferguson sought a close friendship with Epstein even after his conviction, notably bringing her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie to visit him five days after his release from prison on July 22, 2009. An email from August 2010 shows someone writing that they felt very traumatised and alone during those dark times.

She wants to work at organizing your houses." That was the pitch in September 2010. She asked when he would finally hire her, and on that exact same day, she sent a note saying "phew.. you still love me." It is hard to miss the shift between professional ambition and personal affection.

The couple has a history of playful banter. Back in 2009, she joked with him about another woman: 'You can marry her too. She is single and a great body.' The comment shows how comfortable they were teasing each other before things got serious.

By 2010, the conversation turned to their mutual admiration for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. She wrote: 'I do know that my handsome Prince is a saint.. And you worship him, I do too. But then I did marry him. And still love him.' The words are clear and direct, leaving no room for doubt about where her heart lies.

These messages paint a picture of a relationship built on long-standing respect mixed with humor. They acknowledge their shared values while also confronting the reality that one person has already made a commitment to another.
