Samantha Busch Shares Heartbreaking Father's Day Tribute Following Husband Kyle's Death
Samantha Busch shared a painful social media tribute on Father's Day, marking the first month since her husband Kyle Busch died. Kyle passed away at age 41 after severe pneumonia developed into sepsis last month. Samantha, along with their eleven-year-old son Brexton and four-year-old daughter Lennix, posted photos and videos of their family together. She captioned the update by stating the loss still feels unreal to her. Samantha explained she spent the night wondering what the day should have looked like for Kyle and the children. She noted that Father's Day cards sat unused in a drawer with no one to receive them. Samantha described the difficulty of navigating a holiday meant for joy while grieving such a profound loss. She recalled how Kyle never missed a chance to act silly or stay up late for bedtime stories. Samantha emphasized that nothing made him prouder than being a father to Brexton and Lennix. Photos showed the family embracing Kyle after races regardless of the outcome on the track. Other images captured moments away from work, including time on a boat or fun at the beach. Samantha promised to tell Kyle's many stories and ensure her children always remember his deep love for them. She admitted watching these memories hurts beyond explanation but reminds them of their great luck. Samantha stated Kyle, the kids, and she miss him every second of every single day. She explained their hearts ache for him and their bodies physically feel his absence. Samantha noted that Brexton and Lennix always know how deeply their father loved them. She concluded the post by wishing everyone a Happy Father's Day and saying they love and miss him more than words can say. Kyle's death shocked the racing world and led to an outpouring of condolences and remembrance. NASCAR honored Kyle shortly after his death at the Coca-Cola 600 on May 21. His parents Tom and Gaye Busch, his older brother, Samantha, and the children joined him on the track. NASCAR CEO Steve O'Donnell declared that Kyle Busch is NASCAR and there will never be another like him.
