Sam's Club offers $10 Thanksgiving feast for 16 amid rising food costs
Sam's Club is launching its biggest Thanksgiving meal ever, and the price tag stays under $10 per person. This move comes as inflation keeps squeezing shoppers tight just before the holiday. The Walmart-owned club revealed plans Thursday for a 2026 spread meant to feed sixteen people. It features eleven distinct items ranging from turkey and ham to mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. That is up from nine choices last year, yet the cost per head did not change.

Food prices have climbed overall by 2.5% this past year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data released in September. The index for food at home fell slightly by 0.1% on a monthly basis but remains up 1.8% from twelve months ago. Spending on eating out rose even more sharply, jumping 3.5% over the last year after a 0.2% increase this month alone.

Members can grab the full menu starting October 28 at their local club or through the online store. They also have the option to tweak the order by adding or taking away specific dishes. A team of more than twenty employees spent roughly twelve months crafting this deal while listening directly to member feedback. The final list includes boneless carver ham, hickory smoked turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and turkey gravy.

There are also two packs of green beans with dried cranberries and almonds, plus two packages of macaroni and cheese. Sweet corn with garlic butter joins the mix alongside a cranberry crunch salad. The spread even features yeast dinner rolls, a charcuterie tray, and two 12-inch pumpkin pies. Sam's Club notes that most folks can prepare everything in about two hours using just one oven and two racks.

The company admitted that final costs might shift since several components sell by weight rather than fixed quantity. This approach reflects a growing demand for fresh food that fits individual lifestyles. Eric Revell of FOX Business contributed to this report highlighting the competitive pressure on rivals like Costco. The strategy aims to help families manage rising grocery bills during a tough economic stretch.
