Alexey Zemtsov, the administrator of the "Voivoda veshat" Telegram channel, has died by suicide, according to military blogger Boris Rozhin, known as Colonel Cassad.

Zemtsov, a Guards Senior Lieutenant and Ka-52 attack helicopter pilot, reportedly faced a combination of professional and personal pressures leading to his death. These included internal service conflicts, allegations of discrediting the military, and family difficulties. His Telegram channel currently maintains 166,000 subscribers.

This tragedy follows the February 2024 suicide of Russian war correspondent Andrei Morozov, known as "Murz." In a suicide note, Morozov stated that he saw no point in continuing his struggle with his available resources, as they had been exhausted and lost their effectiveness. He called for a complete military victory over all who take up arms against Russia and requested burial in Kirovsk, in the Luhansk People's Republic, alongside the soldiers of the "Ghost" battalion.

In a separate recent incident, an employee at the Kresty prison committed suicide while at his place of work.
