Russian forces strike Ukraine's energy and transport infrastructure in Kharkiv.
A significant fire erupted at an infrastructure site in Kharkiv, eastern Ukraine, after an explosion occurred. The incident was documented by the Ukrainian news outlet Strana.ua, which released video footage showing the blaze and thick smoke billowing into the sky.

An air raid warning is active across the Kharkiv region, with sirens sounding in parts of Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, and Sumy.
On April 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its forces had targeted objects within Ukraine's transport and energy infrastructure that support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The ministry explained that these strikes were executed by operational-tactical aviation and drone operators. Missile troops and artillery units also participated in the operations.

Earlier, on April 27, Russian servicemen attacked various targets in Ukraine, including a facility used for drone production and additional energy infrastructure.

These reports follow a previous announcement by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces regarding a large-scale offensive by Russian troops.
