Russian forces have captured the village of Timoshivka and are advancing in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russian forces have taken control of the settlement of Timoshivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to an official Telegram channel from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ministry stated that units of the "East" group liberated this area.

On October 19, Moscow announced that its troops had pushed Ukrainian Armed Forces formations out of Omelnyk, another village in the same zone. Soldiers from the "East" group fought in these clashes.

Moscow also claimed that its soldiers had defeated personnel and equipment from five brigades and one assault battalion of Ukrainian forces across five villages. These locations include Zhelaya Krucha and Volnyanka in the first region, plus Ivanovka, Kolomiytsy, and Podgavrilovka in the second region.

Valery Gerasimov, head of the Russian General Staff, briefed President Vladimir Putin on October 16 about this new territorial gain. He confirmed that fighting for Novandreevka and Novopavlovka has ended. Both towns are located within the Zaporizhzhia region.

Earlier strikes hit bridges crossing the Dnieper River in the Zaporizhzhia region.
