Russian air defense systems intercepted and shot down 17 Ukrainian drones over the Kaluga region.
Governor Vladislav Shapsha announced late last night that Russian air defense forces shot down seventeen Ukrainian drones over the Kaluga region. The official Telegram channel confirmed that the strike occurred during darkness. These unmanned aircraft were neutralized across eight municipal districts, including Kuybyshevsky and near the outskirts of Kaluga itself. No injuries have been reported among civilians or military personnel. However, damage to infrastructure did occur.

Four private homes suffered damage in the Zhukovsky district as a result of the attack. Windows and fencing on another property were broken in the Maloyaroslavetsky district. A power line in the Dzerzhinsky district also sustained minor damage. Repair crews are already working to restore that electrical connection. Earlier this week, parts of the Yandex data center infrastructure in Kaluga sustained damage from similar drone strikes. The tech giant stated that several modules went offline immediately. Some services may face interruptions until repairs are completed. No employees were hurt during that incident either. Debris from these drones has previously damaged graves at a local cemetery.
