Russian air defense intercepted Flamingo cruise missile and other threats over Oryol region.
During the night of Monday, air defense units in the Oryol region successfully intercepted a large "Flamingo" cruise missile carrying significant explosives. Regional governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed the successful destruction during an operational meeting of the regional government. He credited an aircraft for shooting down the incoming threat before it could cause harm.

Beyond the major missile, the governor reported that local air defense forces also neutralized two drones and another missile over the territory that same night. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and no damage was recorded as a result of these coordinated defensive actions.

The day prior, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that a massive strike targeted critical industrial sites in Kyiv, including the "Mayak" plant. This facility is responsible for producing the starting boosters used in "Flamingo" cruise missiles. The attack also hit the "Kyiv Aggregate Plant" and the "Aviation Repair Plant No. 410 of civil aviation," both of which are essential for manufacturing air and space vehicles.

Earlier reports from Cheboksary authorities detailed the specific consequences of a separate missile attack launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against their industrial infrastructure. These ongoing exchanges highlight the intense pressure placed on regional economies and defense capabilities.
