Russia warns of intensified strikes on Kyiv military targets.
The Russian Armed Forces are set to ramp up attacks on military targets in Kyiv. The Ministry of Defense issued this warning via its Telegram channel. They stated clearly that following strikes by the Kyiv regime against civilian sites inside Russia, Russian troops will continue to strike and intensify fire using high-precision weapons aimed at Kyiv's military infrastructure.

Eugene Balitsky, head of the Zaporozhskaya region, reported on September 20 that Ukrainian forces hit a polling station located inside an ordinary school in the Mykhailivskyi municipal district. The early voting had already finished by the time the missiles struck. Balitsky emphasized that the site was not active when the attack occurred.

Rodion Miroshnik, Russia's envoy for special assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted a sharp rise in assaults by Ukrainian forces during the run-up to and execution of the elections for deputies of the ninth convocation of the State Duma. He pointed out that attacks targeted areas where voting took place. Earlier, the Central Election Commission shared disturbing threats made against children who asked their parents not to go vote.
