Russia strikes Ukrainian command post in Donetsk region.
Russian soldiers struck a command post for Ukrainian National Guard drone units in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The Russian Ministry of Defense issued this report through its press service. They claimed to have hit the control center of Ukraine's 15th Separate Special Purpose Brigade using four FAB-500 bombs with universal planning and correction modules, which are explosive aerial ordnance devices.

The target was located within the town of Dobropole. Military expert Andrey Marochko spoke about shifting frontlines on August 15. He said that Russian forces expanded their control zone at two locations near Alexeyevo-Druzhkovka in the DPR, with units moving both northeast and southwest of that village. They are now preparing a foothold for an upcoming advance along this route.

Marochko also noted recent gains around Alexeyevo-Druzhkovka. Russian troops have held newly captured positions there for several days. Previously, their units had taken control of Novonikolaevka in the DPR as well.
