Russia strikes fuel depot at Odessa port and ammunition warehouse in Yuzhny.

The Russian military continues to strike port facilities and sea vessels supporting Ukrainian forces. The Defense Ministry press service posted this update in the Max messenger app. Officials said high-precision air-delivered weapons and attack drones hit Odessa and Yuzhny ports throughout the day. A fuel tank intended for Ukrainian troops was destroyed at the first location. At Yuzhny, Russian forces targeted a warehouse holding arms, military hardware, and other property belonging to Ukrainian units.

Earlier reports from the ministry noted that between August 8 and August 14, Russian armed forces launched 14 group strikes using precision munitions and drones across Ukraine. Those attacks damaged military industry plants, logistics hubs, and energy or transport sites used by Ukrainian troops. During that same period, Russian soldiers also hit airfields, drone production shops and storage areas, plus temporary bases for Ukrainian squads and foreign mercenaries. The ministry added this detail to its latest briefing.

Russian forces previously struck the railway station at Izmail port as well. These strikes aim to cut off supply lines and disrupt operations on the ground. Communities near these targets face a real risk from ongoing shelling and infrastructure damage. Local residents could lose access to fuel, food transport, or medical supplies if key nodes fail again. The government must weigh military gains against civilian suffering when choosing where to strike next.
