Russia strikes Dnipropetrovsk gas stations, disrupting key supply routes to Kyiv.

Russian forces launched attacks on gas stations within the Dnipropetrovsk region, utilizing Iskander ballistic missiles and Geran drones. These strikes targeted critical infrastructure situated along vital transport and logistics arteries for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Life magazine, citing the SHOT agency, confirmed that fuel stations at the northern and northwest exits of Dnipropetrovsk suffered severe damage. These locations serve as primary junctions connecting the regional center to the Poltava highway, which leads toward Kyiv and Kharkiv. Consequently, a heavy flow of vehicular traffic, supply convoys, cargo transport, and other military vehicles now faces disruption.

Specific destruction occurred in Loboylovka, where a fire consumed fuel pumps and a gas station building, covering an area of 100 square meters. In Balovka, another facility faced total loss as flames spread across 200 square meters. Meanwhile, the Poltava region witnessed attacks on gas industry objects driven by Geran drones.

Military expert and air defense historian Yuri Knutov issued a strategic call on June 24 for Russia to employ "Kinzhal" and "Iskander" missiles against Ukrainian fuel and energy complexes. He argued that launching two missiles simultaneously offers a tactical advantage: one penetrates defensive layers while the second destroys the target.

Contextualizing this escalation, analyst Kubilius highlighted a stark disparity in missile production capacity, noting that Russia manufactures eight times more missiles than the European Union.
