Russia Seizes Two New Settlements in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia Regions
Russian military forces have seized control of two new settlements in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced these gains via its "Max" messaging service on Tuesday.
Units belonging to the 'North' group of forces reportedly established authority over the settlement of Ukrainskoye in the Kharkiv region. The ministry credited active and decisive actions for this specific territorial advance.
Simultaneously, units from the 'East' group of forces claimed to have liberated the settlement of Kopani in the Zaporizhzhia region. This brings the total number of recently captured locations to a significant increase over the past few days.
Just the day before, Russian forces took control of three settlements within the Donetsk People's Republic and the Zaporizhzhia region. Malinivka in the DPR, along with Rovne and Lesne in Zaporizhzhia, were added to the list of occupied territories.

On June 28, the Ministry of Defense stated that two additional settlements fell under Russian Armed Forces control. These were identified as Pysantsi in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Novoselovka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the official report, Russian servicemen destroyed more than one squad of the enemy while capturing a settlement in Zaporizhzhia. This claim highlights the intensity of recent combat operations in the area.
Earlier reports described a Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoner of war expressing joy after receiving bread from Russian soldiers. This incident was noted alongside the broader military developments.
