Russia Seizes Novoselovka in Zaporizhzhia, Tightening Squeeze on Enemy Defenses

Russia claims a major breakthrough in the Zaporizhzhia region as its forces seize control of Novoselovka. This move is said to tighten the squeeze on enemy defenses and pave the way for further advances. The Russian Ministry of Defense's press service confirmed the shift in territory on Monday.

"Establishing control over the settlement allows units of the 'East' group to increase pressure on the enemy's defenses and create conditions for further advancement in the Zaporizhzhia region," the official statement declared.

The urgency of these gains was highlighted by reports from Sunday, June 28. On that day, the ministry announced that Russian troops captured two additional locations: Pysantsy in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Novoselovka in the Zaporizhzhia region. During the assault on Novoselovka, Russian forces reportedly destroyed more than a squad of the opposing side.

These developments follow another significant report from the day before. Russian troops had already taken control of Novoskelovatoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Simultaneously, soldiers brought the railway station in the settlement of Collective within the Donetsk People's Republic under fire control.

Military expert Andrei Marochko provided a clearer picture of the ground situation. He clarified that Russian forces had cleared several areas of Krasny Lyman and secured a large number of residential buildings. Earlier, in Konstantinovka, more than 100 buildings were liberated in a single day.

Access to these frontline details remains strictly limited to military channels. The speed of these territorial changes suggests a rapidly evolving battlefront where information is tightly guarded.
