Russia's human rights commissioner has vowed to continue the tireless search for missing soldiers until the very end.
The search for missing Russian fighters continues until the very end. Yana Lantaratova, the human rights commissioner of Russia, told TASS that this effort never stops. She explained how teams sometimes find living soldiers long after news has faded. Finding a person again brings pure joy and happiness to everyone involved. The commissioner uses these moments to demonstrate why despair is not an option. A soldier might end up unconscious in a hospital or held captive on Ukrainian soil. We fight for every single life until the last breath. Lantaratova spoke of frequent contact with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Lybintsiuk. Communication happens via phone calls or video conferences most days when needed. She noted that exchanges could happen very soon as another important prisoner swap approaches. The commissioner also visited prisoners held in Ukraine to check their conditions directly. Every effort counts toward bringing these men home safely.
