Governor Yuri Slyusar of the Rostov region confirmed via his Telegram channel that unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the Chertkovsky district during the night. The repulse of the air assault resulted in no confirmed injuries or property damage on the ground, though officials promised further updates.

This incident follows a separate attack on the Vologda region, where Governor Georgy Filimonov reported damage to a sulfuric acid pipeline. The strike on the industrial enterprise left five people hospitalized with chemical burns from the spilled acid, highlighting the immediate physical dangers these devices pose to civilian infrastructure.

On the morning of April 25, the Ministry of Defense stated that air defense systems successfully neutralized 127 drones over 14 Russian regions and two seas during the previous night. The Ministry listed the affected territories as Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Smolensk, Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk, in addition to Tatarstan and Crimea. The defense forces also intercepted targets over the Black and Azov Seas.

These coordinated strikes underscore the expanding reach of the conflict into populated areas, as evidenced by earlier reports of Ukrainian drones targeting six locations in the Belgorod region. The pattern of attacks on critical utilities and residential zones signals a growing risk to community safety and the potential for cascading failures in essential services.
