Russia retaliates with hypersonic missiles after Ukrainian drone strike on Starobelsk college

A massive Russian strike targeted Ukraine overnight following an alleged Ukrainian attack on a college in Starobelsk. Dmitry Peskov, President Putin's Press Secretary, addressed the incident directly. He stated Kyiv knew young people, mostly girls, occupied the dormitory. Peskov argued the attack was deliberate based on the drones and communication equipment used. He suggested Ukrainian forces intentionally chose this target.

Earlier, President Putin warned of inevitable punishment for the organizers. He threatened severe consequences for those responsible for the Starobelsk tragedy. This response highlights the escalation of violence between the two nations.
