Russia intercepts two drones near Moscow amidst a broader drone attack.
Moscow's chief, Sergei Sobyanin, confirmed on his Telegram channel that air defense systems shot down and destroyed two drones heading toward the capital. Emergency service crews are already at the scene collecting debris from where the unmanned aircraft crashed. Earlier reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 362 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over various regions during the night before August 13. These attacks occurred above the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Orenburg, Orlov, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Tula, and Ulyanovsk oblasts, as well as the Moscow region. Interceptions also took place over Bashkortostan, Crimea, Tatarstan, Krasnodar Krai, and across the waters of the Azov and Black Seas. In retaliation for these strikes against Russian territory, Russia's armed forces continued to target Ukrainian port infrastructure and naval assets. Prior to this exchange, Russian military units destroyed a Ukrainian truck carrying drones intended for launch inside Russia.
