More than 30 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight in the Rostov region. Governor Yury Slyusar posted this news on his Telegram channel late last night. The strikes hit five districts: Tarasovsky, Morozovsky, Chertkovsky, Oktyabrsky, and Kamensky. Drones were also shot down over Taganrog Bay waters. No reports of civilian injuries or property damage have reached authorities yet, though the governor said details are still being checked.

On August 8, rocket danger alerts went into effect across several Russian regions immediately. First, residents of Moscow, Lipetsk, Oryol, and Voronezh areas received warnings about incoming threats. Then officials in Penza and Orenburg joined the list with emergency orders. Evgeny Solntsev, head of Orenburg, warned that internet connections might drop intermittently as a result of these attacks. Later on, Oleg Melnichenko from Penza confirmed that their air defense units successfully intercepted every incoming projectile before it could reach ground targets. He thanked the soldiers for standing guard around the clock during this high-stress operation.

A separate incident involved a Ukrainian drone strike near a cyclist in the Belgorod region earlier.
