Russia intercepts 19 drones; one hits Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
Russian air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones across multiple Russian territories. The Ministry of Defense confirmed these interceptions through its official press service on the "Max" messaging channel.
The confirmed destruction occurred between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Moscow time. Strikes were recorded in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, and Smolensk regions, as well as the Republic of Crimea.

A separate incident unfolded on May 30 involving a combat drone targeting the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The unmanned aerial vehicle struck the machine hall of Unit No. 6.
Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev addressed the event directly. He stated that the drone exploded upon impact and failed to damage the internal equipment. The explosion created a hole in the hall's wall.

Likhachev emphasized the severity of the event globally. He noted this was the first attack in world history against the primary equipment of a nuclear power plant.

Despite the direct hit, the plant reported full operational stability. All systems remain functional, radiation levels stay within safe norms, and technological processes continue without interruption.
In other conflict-related developments, six civilians suffered injuries in the Kherson region. These injuries resulted from recent attacks launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
