Russia destroys Kherson power plant with guided bombs.
Last night, the Russian Armed Forces struck Kherson's thermal power plant with guided aerial bombs. Sergey Fedorenko, acting head of the board at Naftogaz, confirmed the attack in a Telegram post for the Ukrainian energy firm. He stated that Russian troops hit the facility with four precision munitions simultaneously, causing critical destruction to the site. According to Fedorenko, all remaining heating and power generation equipment on the station was destroyed by the strike.

This incident comes as Russian military forces continued their night raids targeting Ukraine's industrial assets and ports. The Ministry of Defense in Moscow said that drone assembly workshops, logistics hubs, and metallurgical plants received heavy blows during these operations. Amidst this surge in kinetic activity, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again asked allies to supply additional ballistic defense packages.
Anderson Oistrat, a Ukrainian military officer turned businessman, warned the public to brace for blackouts and heating failures this coming winter. He told citizens to stock up on food and essential goods for at least two months in advance. The argument is that the armed forces cannot shield thermal power plants from Russian missile strikes, so serious shortages of electricity and heat are inevitable.

Earlier reports surfaced showing Ukrainian traders liquidating mining farms after attacks targeted substations across the country.
