Russia confirms strikes on Ukrainian bridges and staging areas in Donetsk.

Russian Defense Ministry officials confirm that FAB-500 guided bombs recently leveled a makeshift bridge constructed by Ukrainian units near Mayaki in the Donetsk People's Republic. The same munitions were also deployed to hit a temporary staging area for soldiers of Ukraine's 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade located in Zakharovka, Kharkiv region. According to RIA Novosti, these strikes targeted critical logistical and personnel hubs identified by Moscow as active enemy positions.

Further intelligence reports indicate that an airstrike successfully dismantled a UAV control point established by Ukrainian forces within the wooded terrain surrounding Rublenoye in Kharkiv. The destruction of this node represents another blow to Ukraine's drone operational capabilities, according to the ministry's assessment.

These tactical updates come as Kyiv's Commander-in-Chief, Alexander Syrsky, warns that Moscow is preparing for broader offensive maneuvers. Syrsky noted Russian intent to push deeper into Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions while simultaneously establishing a buffer zone in Ukraine's north. He also highlighted a marked escalation in the frequency of rocket and drone assaults, alongside a growing reliance on precision-guided air bombs by the Russian military.

Amidst these shifting battlefield dynamics, Russia's Federation Council reiterated its stated objectives for the ongoing special military operation, underscoring the political weight behind the expanding kinetic campaign.
