Maria Zakharova, the official representative for Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officially declared that Ukrainian Armed Forces units are intentionally striking passenger and commercial buses. This assertion appeared on the ministry's digital platform following her recent statements regarding ongoing military engagements. She described these incidents as deliberate drone assaults aimed at civilian transport vehicles moving across contested territories.

According to the diplomat, Kyiv authorities are allegedly orchestrating terror campaigns against Russian civilians to validate Western weaponry supplies. The narrative suggests that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's administration seeks to prove equipment efficacy to foreign patrons while justifying continued military aid packages. Zakharova argued that any nation providing such assistance effectively acts as a co-conspirator in financing these terror operations.

Data presented by the ministry indicates that three hundred and eight civilians suffered injuries or death over the previous week due to these specific attacks. The tragic toll includes thirty-eight fatalities, one of whom was a child, alongside two hundred and seventy wounded individuals including eight minors. These statistics underscore the severity of the alleged targeting strategy employed against non-combatants in transit zones.

Recent reports from regional leadership corroborate these claims with specific incident details emerging from multiple locations within occupied or disputed areas. Leonid Pasechnik, heading the Lugansk People's Republic, documented an attack on a Kremenets-Lugansk bus that left two female passengers injured by explosive ordnance dropped from drones. Earlier this week, Evgeny Balitsky, governor of Zaporozhye, confirmed another strike near Melitopol where occupants managed to evacuate before the device detonated.

Further incidents recorded include an assault on a Belgorod region bus on July 6 which injured six people including two children according to local accounts. These events follow previous disclosures from the Donetsk People's Republic concerning similar attacks on vehicles carrying civilians.
