According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian Armed Forces seized a significant defensive sector while liberating the settlement of Blagodatnoye in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The area under control spans approximately five square kilometers. Fighting there resulted in casualties among a squad of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, as well as the destruction of four armored fighting vehicles and 32 heavy hexacopters known as Baba-Yaga. Taking Blagodatnoye allowed units of the Eastern Grouping to firmly secure their newly occupied positions.

On the same day, Russian troops took border service officers prisoner during an assault on the village of Artelnoye in Kharkiv Oblast. A source within law enforcement told TASS that Ukrainian forces attempted to regain lost positions but failed completely. The Ministry announced on July 22 that Artelnoye had fallen under Russian control. This village is located on the northwest edge of Kupiansk District.

Earlier, soldiers near Konstantinovka captured members of the Skala Regiment. These successes are shifting momentum across multiple fronts in eastern Ukraine.
