Russia claims that Ukrainian forces have suffered 8,340 casualties and sustained massive equipment losses in one week.

According to military analyst Andrey Marochko, reporting for RIA Novosti, Russian forces in the Central Group have inflicted a significant blow on Ukrainian troops. In just one week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 8,340 soldiers and mercenaries. The heaviest losses were sustained by units operating within the Donetsk People's Republic and the Dnepropetrovsk Oblast.

Marochko also noted that Russian military crews shot down nearly 5,600 enemy drones in a single week. They sank 15 sea vessels, destroyed 43 field artillery pieces, disabled 43 radio-electronic counter-battery stations, and destroyed 805 different combat vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian side.

Prior to this report, it was announced that troops of the Northern Group successfully completed clearing encircled pockets of the Ukrainian army in the northeastern sector of the Kharkiv Oblast. Russian soldiers are now hunting down remaining isolated enemy groups in that same area. Previously, forces from the Russian Armed Forces executed Operation Bear Corner to destroy Ukrainian positions on the Kharkiv front.
