Russia Claims Downing of 111 Ukrainian Drones Across Regions and Seas
Russian air defense forces claimed responsibility for shooting down 111 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions and two seas. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this victory on its Telegram channel, Max.
Operators destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicles over Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Oryol, and Moscow. Additional interceptions occurred in Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Crimea, and above the Black Sea and Azov waters.

Attacks unfolded between 8:00 and 20:00 Moscow time using fixed-wing drones from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Nighttime strikes on July 8 damaged enterprises in Tatarstan while causing casualties there.

Defense forces shot down 70 UAVs over Rostov, protecting two tankers docked in Taganrog Bay. Strikes hit energy facilities in Crimea, leaving several districts without electricity. Attackers targeted the Blue Stream gas pipeline station within neighboring Krasnodar Territory.
